What does a website assistant cost?

Start with the work you expect

A website assistant’s cost includes its subscription, any additional usage, and the time needed to prepare information and follow up with customers. An entry price helps you shortlist services. Your actual questions and the way you work determine the useful total.

Estimate how many visitors will use the assistant and how many answers they may need. Then check whether the service charges for replies, conversations or credits. A conversation can contain many answers, so the same number on two plans can cover very different amounts of use.

These published prices were checked on 7 November 2026. They are starting points for comparison, in US dollars, before applicable taxes or additional purchases. Annual prices require the stated yearly commitment.

An example using Onepard’s reply allowance

Suppose 100 visitors each have a conversation with four counted replies. That would use 400 replies, which fits within Starter’s 500. The monthly subscription would be $49, before applicable tax. This is an illustration, not a prediction of your traffic or conversation length.

If your business instead needed 600 replies in that month, one $20 pack would add 250 replies. Starter plus that pack would cost $69. Unused purchased replies carry forward, and included replies are used first.

Growth costs $149/month for 2,000 replies. The paid plans share the same features and answer quality. Choose based on usage, then review your actual bill and allowance after real visitors have used it.

Check what the subscription leaves for you to do

A service with a lower entry fee can still be a poor fit if you need features in another plan. A service with a larger allowance can also leave you paying for capacity you never use. Compare a realistic month of work before deciding.

  • Keep prices, offerings and policies clear in the information you provide.
  • Check whether your website plan permits the assistant’s installation code.
  • Allow time to test questions, images, links and the visitor request process.
  • Keep the enquiry email address monitored and follow up on submitted requests.

Use the trial to replace guesses with evidence

Onepard’s 7-day trial includes 50 replies and 10 website pages for one owner account. Test your common questions and a few difficult ones. Check whether the answers help visitors take a useful next step.

Watch for accurate information, sensible limits and an easy installation process. Your trial can show whether the product fits. It takes ongoing visitor use to understand normal monthly demand.

Common questions

Does a greeting use a Onepard reply?

Initial greetings do not count. A completed assistant reply counts once. Failed attempts, retries and enquiry submissions do not add to the count.

What happens when replies run out?

New AI replies pause, and existing contact options stay available. An owner with an active paid plan can buy extra replies or review the plan allowance.

Will an assistant pay for itself?

That depends on useful visitor activity and the value it creates for your business. Compare the cost with real enquiries, completed sales or time saved. A subscription alone cannot establish that return.
