Check your Squarespace plan first
You can add Onepard to a Squarespace site through Code Injection, Squarespace’s setting for extra website code. Its current documentation includes this feature on Core, Plus, and Advanced plans, along with eligible legacy Business and Commerce plans. Check the features available to your own site before starting.
Onepard looks after the assistant and provides the small piece of code your website loads. Your Squarespace plan needs to allow that code.
Prepare the service details, course information, packages, or policies your visitors ask about. Try the assistant’s answers before adding it to your website.
Create and check your assistant
Add your business
Open Get started, enter your published Squarespace website address, and complete sign-in. You can paste extra details in Business information afterwards. If you started with pasted information only, use your shareable chat page. The dashboard has no setting to add a website later.
Try questions before installation
When information is ready, open Chat settings and select Open your chat. Ask about a published offering, its price, and a policy. Check the responses against your website and add missing details.
Copy the chosen layout
In Add it to your website, choose Corner chat bubble or Bottom chat box. Select Copy to get the complete code for that business and layout.
Add the code in Squarespace
Open Code Injection
In Squarespace’s Pages panel, open Custom Code and choose Code Injection. On version 7.0 sites, look under Website Tools. You can also open the Code Injection panel from the official Squarespace guide linked below.
Use the Footer field
Paste the complete Onepard code into Footer, preserving code already there, and select Save. This field adds the code across the site’s pages. Add one copy for your selected business.
Visit your public URL
Open your website in a private browser window and try the assistant there. Squarespace can disable extra website code in its editor preview, so check the page your visitors see.
Check the visitor journey
Open the homepage, then a page about a particular service or package. Ask a specific question on that page and check the answer. Check any pictures and links shown belong to the relevant offering. More pages may still be being read when your assistant first becomes ready.
On a phone, open the assistant, send a longer message, read the reply, and close it. Check the website menu and cookie notice remain reachable. If you receive enquiries, submit a clearly labelled test request and confirm it appears in Onepard’s Enquiries area.
If something does not appear
Platform instructions were checked against Squarespace’s documentation on 7 November 2026. Complete these checks on your own site, including mobile, because custom code can behave differently across site versions and other additions.
- Code Injection is unavailable. Check your site’s current or legacy plan and your account’s permission to change website code.
- The assistant is absent in the editor. Try the public page while signed out, since editor preview can have extra website code disabled.
- Chat says it is unavailable on this website. Open the published website address entered during setup. A Squarespace preview, temporary address, or different website may not be accepted.
- The code is visible in the page. Move it into the Code Injection Footer field and save the change.
- The assistant is missing on checkout. Squarespace documents that its checkout pages do not support custom code. Check the assistant on a public content page.
