Choose around the information you need to explain
A website assistant is useful when it can find the right information and explain it clearly. Start by looking at where your answers live, how often they change, and what a visitor should do when you need to help personally.
Onepard starts from a public website or pasted business information. It can explain your offerings, show useful options with photos and collect enquiries. You can add it to your website or share a link to its chat page.
Look at SiteGPT if your answers come from a large collection of information or you need connections to existing support tools. Its higher plans include larger page allowances and more support connections. Check which plan includes the connection you need.
Read both the price and the allowance rules
Onepard Starter costs $49/month and includes 500 replies and 100 website pages. It counts a completed assistant reply once. Initial greetings, failed attempts and enquiry submissions do not count.
SiteGPT Starter lists $59/month with monthly billing, or $468 for a year. The number of answers included depends on the setting you choose. SiteGPT measures a page by the amount of text it contains. Onepard counts website pages, so compare how each plan handles your own information.
The prices are in US dollars and were checked on 7 November 2026. We use published information here. Try the questions and information your visitors need before choosing a plan.
Check how changing information reaches visitors
A price, policy or course detail can change after the assistant is first set up. Include a changed-page check in your trial, alongside your first questions. Look at the answer before and after the replacement information becomes ready.
Onepard checks website information in the background within plan limits. Existing ready information stays available while a replacement is prepared. Updates take time, so confirm important changes before relying on a new answer. Pasted information can be edited by its owner.
Also check whether you have enough information to answer at all. Reading a homepage successfully does not mean the entire website has been covered. Review any pages still being read or pages that could not be read before judging a missing answer.
Check the whole path from question to follow-up
Use a question that compares two offerings and another that asks about a detail on the page being viewed. Check the names, prices, images and links together. An attractive card is useful only when it belongs to the offering being discussed.
Then try a personal request. In Onepard, the visitor reviews an enquiry before sending it and the owner receives a notification. You can review the conversation through submission and respond through your normal process.
Start with the 7-day trial and add the information you want visitors to use. You can evaluate the answers before adding the website code. Keep your website pages clear and specific so either assistant has dependable information to work from.
